“You know, it’s not like I’m some modern punk, dickhead! It’s obviously a 1977 original punk rock look, but I guess Johnny Fuckface over there is too stupid to realize it!”
When I was a junior in high school and first discovered this wonderful movie and book, I dyed my hair green like Enid. And I wore tight leopard bondage paints and had one of those studded and painted leather jackets. I felt so fucking cool.
I thought it was funny that there were a lot of similarities between my teenage life and ghost world. I even had a guy in my town that (not to his face) I called weird al guy, which I came up with before knowing about ghost world, but he worked at a used record store, which was were I bought my first copy of Live Though This, not a cheesy diner. My weird al guy was a cool guy, he played joey in a ramones cover band that played at long island dives.
End of ghost world love letter/rambling ala midge.
